2 weeks ago, Southern California Edison made a groundbreaking announcement, contracting BrightSource Energy to build 1,300 MWs of Solar Thermal power. That’s enough power to serve 845,000 Californian homes and would make Edison the largest utility solar power provider.
Concentrated solar systems and technologies have been coming on strong recently.
